Trick or Treat in the Heat

Anchorage does this really cool thing called Trick or Treat in the Heat (It was 56 outside! haha). I was kind of bummed because we are going to be in Texas all of October so David was going to miss Jane and Abby's first real Halloween so when I heard about this I was so excited! It also worked out nicely that Jane has a ton of dress up clothes to choose from so we have costumes on hand all the time! =)

Oh my gosh I seriously love this family of mine!!

Our Trip to Seattle

Over the Labor day weekend we flew to Seattle to visit Scott and some friends. That and it was our 4 year anniversary =)
What a blast we had, I can already tell that we will be making more trips down there! The girls fell in love with Scott almost immediately.

Our first outing was to the Children's museum. It was a blast, I'm pretty sure if I was a billionaire I would build this place in my home. It was especially nice because we were able to meet up with the Slades, the girls were so happy to see their friends and it was so nice to catch up with Kelsey again.

After that we went to the Chihulli (?) glass museum. The girls were huge fans but we thought it was so cool!

My new absolute favorite picture of Jane!

One of the days we went on a Duck Boat tour. It was a car that can drive on land or in the water. It was a really cool way to see Seattle! We were so excited for Jane to experience driving in the water with it, but of course she fell asleep before we were able to. =)

I feel like every time we travel somewhere we seek out the aquarium. Our girls just love sea life.

And yes Jane fell asleep yet again! haha

The day I turned a year older

For my birthday weekend we went camping at a place called King Mountain. It was absolutely perfect! We couldn't see or hear anyone else, from where we camped it was a short walk to a river with a great beach then a beautiful, massive mountain. I couldn't have had a better weekend with the family. I love when we get out in nature and have no cell service.

Yes, I have the cutest kids ;)
